Kedua Kalinya JPH Raih "National Green Hotel Award"

            Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel kembali meraih penghargaan dalam ajang Green Hotel Award 2013 di Jakarta. Ini merupakan kedua kalinya JPH raih penghargaan, setelah tahun lalu mendapat penghargaan yang sama.

            Penghargaan ini menunjukan komitmen JPH sebagai perusahaan yang menjalankan prinsip - prinsip  Green Hotel secara berkelanjutan,” Kami bangga bisa mendapatkan penghargaan untuk kedua kalinya, dan penghargaan ini semakin memacu JPH untuk mengembangkan beragam progam yang terkait lingkungan.” Demikian yang dikatakan Precy, Public Relations Officer JPH.

National Green Hotel Award 2013 diselenggarakan tanggal 27 September 2013, yang bertepatan dengan hari pariwisata sedunia. Penghargaan ini diberikan sebagi apresiasi pada hotel bintang empat dan lima yang peduli terhadaplingkungan dan pembangunan bekelanjutan. ( Suistanable Development )

            Penghargaan diserahkan oleh ibu Mari Elka Pangestu, Manteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, di Balairung Soesilo Soedirman Sapta Pesona, Jakarta. Setahun yang lalu diserahkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pengembangn Pariwisata, Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif. Tercatat ada 20 hotel di Indonesia yang memenuhi kriteria dan persyaratan National Green Hotel Award 2013.

            JPH sendiri adalah hotel bintang empat di Yogyakarta berkapasitas 177 kamar, yang berada di lingkungan perguruan tinggi ‘ jantung’ kota Yogya. Tepatnya di jalan Affandi Kompleks Gejayan Colombo.

AKINDO Open Bidikmisi Scholarship Program

            For the first time Indonesian Academy of Communications ( AKINDO ) Yogyakarta , open Bidikmisi program in freshman admission in 2013 . Bidikmisi program is a program endorsed by the Directorate General of Higher Education , Ministry of National Education . Given the Act - Act No.. 20 of 2003 on national education systems and government regulation No.60 Year 1999 on Higher education.

            Bidikmisi Scholarship Program aims to provide scholarships and tuition , to students from families who are economically disadvantaged and achievement , both in academic / curricular , co-curricular and extracurricular .

              There are ten students who successfully passed the program bidikmisi AKINDO . Seven students bidikmisi registered as a student majoring in Public Relations and three students majoring in Radio-Television Broadcasting . Not too different from the freshman through the regular ( non Bidikmisi ) , they also have to undergo several stages of selection before it was officially declared as the new students , such as taking a written test and perform tests of academic potential .
